The Teen Choice Awards

Three-time Grammy Award winners The Black Eyed Peas are set to perform their newest single, “I Gotta Feeling,” from their No. 1 album, “The E.N.D.,” at TEEN CHOICE 2009 airing Monday, Aug. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. TEEN CHOICE 2009 also announced the next wave of nominees in categories such as Choice Summer Movie Star, Choice Summer Song, Choice Celebrity Dancer and Choice Twit, a new category to honor the top Celebrity Tweeter. Fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day for all of their favorite TEEN CHOICE 2009 nominees at www.teenchoiceawards.com. Hosted by the Jonas Brothers, TEEN CHOICE celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion in a star-studded two-hour event featuring appearances by Kristen Bell, Jordana Brewster, Ashley Greene, Vanessa Hudgens, Shawn Johnson, Daren Kagasoff, Kim Kardashian, Sean Kingston, Taylor Lautner, Jennette McCurdy and Emma Roberts. Additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.

With worldwide sales in excess of 26 million units and a total of 11 Grammy Award nominations, The Black Eyed Peas are one of the most successful groups in music today. Band members Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo became international superstars with 2003’s breakthrough album, “Elephunk.” The Peas’ chart-topping hits include Grammy Award winners “Don’t Phunk With My Heart” and “My Humps,” as well as “Where Is the Love,” “Shut Up,” “Hey Mama” and “Let’s Get It Started.” The group’s newest album, “The E.N.D.,” which features the singles “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling,” recently entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at No. 1.

Het is in Nederland momenteel even slecht gesteld met het weer, maar volgende week komen er weer

een paar mooie dagen aan en wat is dan het mooiste dat je een leuke bikini hebt én lekker in

je vel zit. Iets van weinig van de vrouwen zitten. Maar toch zijn bikini’s altijd leuk om te bekijken

en beach style ook, dus ik heb een paar foto’s van de celebs van de laatste tijd op het strand.

Ashley Roberts, bekend van the Pussycat dolls, heeft een figuur waar menig vrouw jaloers op is.

Bovendien kan ze dansen als de beste en is ze harstikke lenig. Ik vind echt dat ze een heel mooi

figuur heeft. Haar bikini vind ik leuk, maar niet opvallend ofzo. Haar bril maakt haar beach look goed af.

Ashley Tisdale ziet er zoals altijd erg goed uit op het strand, haar oranje bikini is een musthave

en staat prachtig bij haar gebruinde huid en donkerbruin haar. Ze is heel dun, maar niet uitgehongerd,

waardoor ze toch een heel mooi figuur heeft. Klein maar fijn.

Boyfriend is een tikkeltje te licht naast Ashley, maar ziet er goed uit met zijn geblokte broek en spiegelreflecterende

zonnebril van ray ban.

Audrina en Corey zijn samen op vakantie geweest en het ziet er erg gezellig uit. Ze ziet er erg

goed uit met haar koraalrode bikini en bruine huid. Ook Corey ziet er goed uit, maar zie liever lang

haar bij hem.

Heidi vind ik meestal over de top op het strand, maar hier ziet ze er gewoontjes uit. Ook eens

leuk voor de verandering. Ik ben totaal geen fan van haar, echt positiefs heb ik verder

ook niet echt over haar te zeggen. Begrijp me niet verkeerd, ze lijkt me opzich wel lief, maar aan

de andere kant ook een bitch en erg manipulatief.  

Konnn~! He estado un poco desaparecida por o menos en lo de hacer entradas.. XD gomen gomen!! Pero entre que el lunes me quitaron una muela y he estado un poco amorfa  y dolorida estos dias y que acabé los examenes… y que Febbe ha estado superinformada de todo jajaja  pues no he podido meter baza!

Hoy no os voy a hablar de nada asiático, si no de una canción que descubrí el ayer mismo y aunque ya estaba circulando por ahí de una cantante estadounidense: Ahsley Tisdale. He de reconocer que siempre me ha gustado esta chica, si! yo veo HSM! jajaj y ayer vi el vidoclip de esta canción. En el video esta la lyric tanto en inglés como en español, espero que os guste! Además nos va como anillo al dedo ya que aunque no me fue tan bien como a Febbe no me ha ido mal del todo, aprobé 5 de 6 y también hay que decir que de la que he suspendido no he dado ni golpe en todo el curso.. XD cosas de la vida jaja asi que estamos de enhorabuena!! ^^ Recordemos que siempre queda septiembre!! Ahí va el video!

También me gustaría preguntaros si alguno/a sabéis como podemos poner nuestra propia interfaz en wordpress.. yo esque no se como hacerlo ni Febbe tampoco, si alguien tiene alguna idea por favor que lo deje en los comentarios!

For some reason (lack of eye candy?), Bravo’s “NYC Prep” isn’t really doing much to fill the void in my life left by the summer “Gossip Girl” hiatus. But reading “Beastly,” a novel about a very Chuck Bass-ian character given a fairy-tale comeuppance, most certainly did.

Alex Flinn’s story — which is currently being made into a movie starring Vanessa Hudgens, Neil Patrick Harris, Peter Krause, Mary-Kate Olsen and Alex Pettyfer (whom you can see as the beast here) — is a New York prep-school twist on “Beauty and the Beast,” told from the Beast’s perspective. Kyle is rich, popular, handsome and undoubtedly the most conceited boy in his Upper East Side school. He’s also quite cruel to his less-blessed classmates, a trait he seems to have learned from his self-absorbed anchorman father.

Kyle plays a joke on Kendra, the goth chick who dared to call him out on his ugly nature, by asking her to a school dance and then showing up with his girlfriend Sloane instead (OK, one pet peeve with this book? Kyle and Sloane have to be the most clichéed rich-kid character names in the history of teen fiction). But Kendra isn’t heartbroken. She actually turns out to be a witch who has decided to teach Kyle a lesson by, you guessed it, turning him into a “beast.” He’s a hideous half-man, half-animal, with hair all over and clumsy, clawed hands. But because he did one teeny tiny kind thing on the night of the dance, she leaves him an out: If he is kissed by someone he loves and who loves him back within two years, the spell will be broken. In the meantime, his father, worried about the embarrassment of living with an ugly son, banishes him to live in a brownstone in Brooklyn with a housekeeper and a live-in, blind tutor.

Then, of course, there’s the “beauty” in this equation: Lindy, a scholarship student at Kyle’s school. She’s been taking care of her junky dad on her own, and he returns the favor by giving her up to beastly Kyle when he’s caught trying to rob Kyle’s house. She’s not too happy about the situation, but she’s also predictably angelic and there’s never really any doubt that she’ll give him the required kiss by story’s end.

The plot does seem slightly childish on the surface, but the execution is what makes it actually work. Kyle is obviously easy to hate at first, but as he gradually begins to learn his lesson — and becomes a gardening and literature enthusiast in the process — you’ll also find yourself slowly growing to like him. The story is regularly interrupted by enjoyable transcripts from the “Unexpected Changes” chat group Kyle joins for people going through “transformations.” A frog and bear (who both used to be boys), and a mermaid who’s deciding whether to take the plunge and become a girl commiserate online about their ridiculous situations, the difficulty of typing without real fingers and how their parents just don’t understand. It’s a clever way for Flinn to poke fun at fairy tales while simultaneously making us believe in this one a little.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this will work as a movie, especially with NPH playing Kyle’s tutor, Will, and Mary-Kate Olsen as Kendra the witch. And it’ll be interesting to see Hudgens as Lindy, her first non-musical role. Could be totally juvenile, of course, but also totally fun.
