Zac Efron earned huge brownie points by throwing girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens a surprise 21st birthday party for her on her birthday (14/12/09).

He invited over 100 guests to the LA bash, including High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow.

A partygoer said: “When she walked in she was completely surprised!”

Zac gave a speech wishing Vanessa a happy birthday and encouraged guests to let their hair down.

A source said: “After she blew out the candles she made a sincere speech thanking everyone again and expressing her love for her family and friends.

“Then the DJ spun Kid Cudi’s remix of Poker Face and Vanessa danced with her friends.”

She can now legally drink alcohol in the States.
