Count Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens among the latest celebrities to offer their assistance to the victims of this month’s earthquake in Haiti.

The cute couple have agreed to help George Lopez raise funds for that nation at Help Haiti, a concert taking place on Thursday, February 4.

Zac and Vanessa join stars such as Ray Ramono, Margaret Cho and Ozzy Osbourne at the event. Visit LopezTonight.com for more information on it.

“The people of Haiti need our help. On Thursday, February 4th, I am throwing a benefit concert called “Help Haiti” at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE here in Los Angeles. The best musicians, comedians and athletes will be there for the cause, including my friends Andy Garcia, Slash and Samuel Jackson.

“One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go to directly to Haiti to help the victims and their families. Keep checking this page for more information on how to purchase tickets for Help Haiti.”

It’s a great cause. Hopefully Efron and Hudgens get more dressed up for it than they are above.

Friday, January 22nd was the last scheduled shooting day for Zack Snyder’s latest fantastical opus, Sucker Punch, which means the cast and crew are probably going to party it up over the weekend before saying goodbye to their Vancouver shooting grounds. Snyder’s got a long post production schedule ahead of him, though – the film isn’t set to hit theaters until March 25th, 2011 (Snyder does like that month of March).

Unlike with 300, Watchmen and the hyperactive Dawn of the Dead remake, Snyder’s working from brand-new material with Sucker Punch, with an original screenplay by Snyder and Steve Shibuya. Produced under Snyder’s Cruel and Unusual Films banner, the R-rated fantasy film takes place in the 1950s and chronicles the strange adventures of a young girl who’s confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather and retreats to an alternate reality filled with “B-52 bombers, dragons and brothels,” according to the director.

Sucker Punch stars Uninvited cutie Emily Browning in the lead role of Baby Doll, along with Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Scott Glenn, Abbie Cornish and Snyder’s Watchmen pal, Carla Gugino.

1:40 amZac Efron To Star In 'Back To The Future'-Like Project, Plus A Comic Book Adaptation

The point though is that Efron is clearly looking to push himself in other directions. I've not seen "Orson Welles" yet, but I have to applaud the kid for being brave enough to put himself out there. This might shock some of you, but I've also not seen "High School Musical."
