On April 17, 2009 Zac Efron’s new movie 17 Again will open in theatres around the country. In this movie, which is rated PG-13, Zac plays the lead character Mike O’Donnell at age 17. The premise of the movie is a 37 year old Mike O’Donnell, played by Matthew Perry, is living a life that didn’t turn out the way he had planned. He wished he could go back to high school and do it all over again. The next day he wakes up and he is 17 again.

Zak Efron and Vanessa Hudgens survived the 12 hour airplane flight from LAX to Narita International Airport in Japan. They are in Japan to promote High School Musical 3:Senior Year which premieres in Japan on February 7th. As they arrived in the terminal they were surrounded by 30 police and security guards who were helping to keep the hundreds of screaming and crying fans at bay.

radiodisneyjams11 238x257 Radio Disney Jams 11 Next week Walt Disney Records will release the 11th edition in the multi-plainum selling Radio Disney Jams family. As with all the other Radio Disney Jams projects it is filled with great music from several top Disney artists such as The Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, Demi Lovato and Vanessa Hudgens. It also features other chart toppers from Radio Disney like David Archuleta, Varsity Fan Club and from my hometown We the Kings. Saturday, December 20th, Zac Efron played Santa Claus at Los Angles’ Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA. Partnering with gifts.com, Zac gave away $10,000 in toys, games and art sets to the critically ill children during his 2 hour visit. Zac also signed autographs and posed for pictures during his surprise visit to the hospital. A source at the hospital to Usmagazine.com, “He really spent time bonding with each of the children.”

High School Musical hearthrob Zac Efron is on the current cover of Details magazine. Check out the cover here and an interesting quote from the article. Zac, lots of people think you are gay, especially Perez Hilton. What do you have to say about that?

“I know it’s very addictive to read that kind of stuff. It’s entertainment. Perez has obviously struck a chord in the public eye. He’s doing something right. That deserves admiration — I think he’s doing a great job. Um,” he pauses. “Honestly, if the worst thing he can say about me is that I’m gay, then I think I’ll be fine. I can handle it.”

Way to squash that rumor tough guy…….

While sporting his ponytail ‘do and a cute T-shirt that read "L.A. Don’t Love You" , Zac Efron scurried to a waiting Cadillac and dropped off something that looked like a red case.

Note: Last night, Zac was honored the best actor award for the Disney Channel original at the 2007 Family Television Awards in Beverly Hills. High School Musical 2 also won the best movie musical honors.
